Community members in La Lima, Honduras, participate in a Centro Social La Paz community dialogue on Zika with health educators from Global Communities. The workshop was led by Dr. Winnie Paola Gallardo, Doctor in General Medicine, 27 years old and now working as a Health Educator. Dr. Gallardo (with silver head band) said, “The messages we disseminate and the information we give to community members, have been approved by the World Health Organization, USAID and other donors. We focus on prevention and on modes of transmission so that community members are informed and can protect themselves. We use standard and consistent messages.”
