A woman, pregnant with her fifth child, listens as a volunteer health worker tells her about sanitation, health and the preparation for delivery in Nepal.

Judges’ Comment: ‘I like the combination of featuring a healthcare provider, physical 'information' in the form of the flipchart, and the fact that the healthcare provider is dressed in similar clothes to the pregnant woman.’

‘It is again a lovely composition which conveys a relationship between the 2 women and when you read the caption it underlines that so much of health care provision is simply conveying good information to engage and empower people, especially women to help themselves and care for their families; and the role of volunteers in this who are trusted by communities, trained by professional health workers and given an appropriate tool/visual aid.’  - HIFA2015
