·         National Institutes of Health (NIH) Image Bank

NIH Image Bank contains images from the collections of the 27 Institutes and Centers that comprise the National Institutes of Health. The collection includes general biomedical and science-related images, clinicians, computers, patient care-related images, microscopy images, and various exterior images. ·         Wellcome Trust Library

Wellcome Images is a unique collection with themes ranging from medical and social history to contemporary healthcare and biomedical science. Low resolution free for non-profit educational use, fee for high resolution and contemporary works. Registration recommended.

This database covers all aspects of the Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases' (TDR) target diseases - African trypanosomiasis, Chagas disease, dengue, leishmaniasis, leprosy, lymphatic filariasis, malaria, onchocerciasis, schistosomiasis and tuberculosis.

IMAGES is an online searchable database providing access to the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) photo library. The collection contains thousands of digitalized images taken by researchers and professional photographers on the general topic of economic and social development. Images may be downloaded and used, without modification or alteration, for personal use only. Prior written permission must be obtained from the International Development Research Centre for commercial or public use.

 

·         Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) Photo Gallery

The PAHO Media Center provides images related to the activities of at the Pan American Health Organization, arranged by topic. Photos are free to use on the condition that credit be given to the Pan American Health Organization. (Low-res available for downloading, high-res available upon request).
