 2. Photographer Spotlight - Alfredo L. Fort

Alfredo Fort, seen here working with a public health nurse in Honduras, is Senior Health Adviser for the Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) project at ORC Macro in Calverton, Maryland, USA. During his trips to different parts of the world, Dr. Fort enjoys taking photographs of peoples and places. Though he is not trained in photography, he likes to capture the context in which families live, the issues that affect their health (e.g. sanitation in communities), and also the conditions of health facilities and personnel that exist in the area. Dr. Fort has shared more than 90 photos with Photoshare from 11 countries, including Armenia, Bolivia, El Salvador, Ghana, Guyana, Honduras, India, Kenya, Nicaragua, Peru, and Zanzibar.
