Mr. Pedulla Sreenuvasa is Executive Director of Nrityanjali Academy (http://www.nrityanjali.org), a non-profit organization based in India dedicated to HIV/AIDS and STI interventions in the slums and villages of Hyderabad, Secunderabad and Rangareddy in Andhra Pradesh. During his eight years with Nrityanjali, Sreenuvasa has served in various capacities, developing innovative materials and programs in his work as an outreach social worker, project manager, and director.

The 22nd of March is World Water Day, bringing attention to the issue of water shortage around the world. In this photo, a woman from the village of Neemkhera, District Raisen, in Madhya Pradesh, India barely manages to obtain a jug of water, which she carries on her head. The village has just one hand pump, which does not consistently produce water. After filling some buckets, one typically has to wait and then fill a few more buckets. This little girl lives in a town called Zunil located in the state of Quetzaltenango in Guatemala. These colors are unique to this area. This town is located in the hills of Western Guatemala and is filled with very colorful people. Two women weave traditional Khmer mats in the Ksach Kandal District of of Cambodia. They start work before sunrise, most times silently. However, the day is punctuated by laughter. They weave patiently, making two mats a day using all natural and traditional materials with no chemicals, additives, or artificial colourings.
