We recently cataloged a photo that documents the use and usefulness of health communication materials. The ‘Do You Know Your Family Planning Choices’ wallchart (pictured below at a clinic in Kenya) was developed at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health Center for Communication Programs under the Population Information Program – PIP. The wallchart was a supplement to The Essentials of Contraceptive Technology, a world leading recourse for health professionals.

The successor project to PIP, The INFO Project, has recently updated both the handbook and wallchart. Family Planning: A Global Handbook for Providers expands and improves on its predecessor, The Essentials of Contraceptive Technology, by covering more methods and more related topics and strengthening the evidence base for its guidance. The New Do You Know Your Family Planning Choices?  wallchart replaces the old wallchart by the same name and will continue to serve as a tool for method specific information, that providers can display for their clients.
